peanut butter cups
Reese's are my favorite - the mix between peanut butter, chocolate and salt. Unfortunately they're hard to find in Switzerland, so I make them myself.
Its extremely easy and quick. I use short pastry cups, ready made from the supermarket, but for enthusiasts with a lot of time - make them yourselves. Puff pastry might work as well - up to you!
- 200g dark chocolate / 70%
- 1 Jars peanut butter (crunchy)
- Short pastry cups (small ones: 20 / big ones: 10)
- 200g butter
- salt (coarse-grained)
In a bain-marie, melt the chocolate, then slowly incorporate the butter in small cubes with a rubber spatula. In parallel, heat the peanut butter in a separate pan in order to get viscous, then pour it slowly into the chocolate, bit by bit, while constantly stirring.
Transfer the finished mixture into a pitcher or jug and fill the short pastry cups - cool down in the fridge for about 30 minutes, then sprinkle the salt on top.
