white oreo balls
OK, this hurts a little - as I did not want to publish this recipe. You make that, you win a bunch of new friends immediately. It is just too delicious, a forbidden pleasure, utterly divine! But I decided that I am not able to keep such a great invention any longer to myself, but have to share it.
- 300g regular Oreo cookies (the normal ones, not the thins, not the double)
- 60g Philadelphia cream cheese
- white chocolate couverture (the one you use to pour on top of cakes)
In a blender, blend the cookies until they turn into rough pieces, almost like sand, but not too fine. Add the cream cheese and give it another quick blend, just to mix in the cheese.
With your hands, form small balls, about half the size of golf balls, or however you like them. Place them on a grill and chill for about 30 minutes, while melting the white chocolate couverture / coating.
Place the balls on a grill or on a piece of baking paper, and cover them with white chocolate, as shown in the movie below. If you don't have such a plastic bottle, you can use two spoons and throw them into the chocolate, then cover them with the spoons carefully.
Refrigerate again until you eat them, so the white cover gets hard.
