For all Oreo lovers! This is a weight gainer, but worth it! Macarons with Oreo filling, indulge yourself for once and start losing weight next year.
Ingredients for about 20 Macarons (cut in half if you want to do just a few):
150g icing sugar
2 egg whites
85g grinded almonds
20g white sugar
2 packs of Oreo (the classic ones, about 150g each)
140g Philadelphia cream cheese
In a blender, mix the almonds and icing sugar, then transfer into a bowl. Beat the egg whites until hard and mix in the white sugar so the eggs get shiny. Now combine the stiff egg whites with the almond and icing sugar mix, with a rubber spatula, very carefully. Fill into a piping bag and make, according to the size you want the macarons, small mounds onto a baking sheet. Use a nozzle in order to have evenly formed mounds. Let sit for about 10 minutes.
In the blender, now mix the Oreos, butter (soft) and cream cheese. Make a very smooth paste by blending it several times. Transfer into the piping bag (you just cleaned) and set aside.
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees while letting the baking tray in the oven to heat up as well. Once hot, take out the baking tray and carefully transfer your baking paper with the un-baked macarons on it, then bake for about 15 minutes. Take out and let cool down a bit, then carefully transfer them to a plate where you can fill them up with the Oreo filling.
Keep in the fridge at all times!
